Privacy Notice

This notice covers elkgrovehouse.com, the website of Dan Smallie, a California real estate salesperson with Real Estate Source Inc. It explains what the site collects, why, who handles it and the choices you have.

The short version

• The site collects only what you choose to send through its two forms, or by phone or email.
• Dan uses it to reply to you about that request. You are not added to a mailing list, and your information is not sold or shared for advertising.
• The site does not use analytics, advertising pixels, social-media trackers or tracking cookies.
• You can ask Dan at any time to show, correct or delete what you sent, or to stop contacting you.

Information you give us

Contact form

Your name, email address, an optional phone number, how you’d like Dan to reply, the topic you choose, your message and your confirmation that Dan may reply about the request.

Home value (market analysis) form

The property’s street address, city and ZIP code; its type and, if you provide them, bedrooms, bathrooms, approximate square footage, general condition and any notes; your selling timeline; and the same contact details and confirmation listed above.

Both forms also send the form’s name and a short subject line so the request can be identified. Please don’t send Social Security numbers, bank or loan account numbers or other sensitive documents through the forms or by email. If you call or email Dan directly, he receives what you include, plus your phone number or email address.

Information collected automatically

The site is hosted by Netlify. As with most websites, Netlify’s servers receive standard technical information with each request — such as IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time — to deliver the site, keep it working and protect it from abuse. Dan does not use this information to identify or profile visitors.

To return you to the same spot when you use the back button, the site stores page scroll positions in your browser’s session storage. That data stays in your browser, is not sent to anyone and clears when the tab is closed. Fonts and images are served from this website’s own domain; the site’s code adds no third-party analytics or advertising scripts.

How the information is used

• To read your request and reply by your preferred contact method.
• To prepare the market analysis or other help you asked for.
• To keep a record of the inquiry so follow-up stays accurate.
• To filter spam and protect the forms from misuse.
• To meet legal obligations, if any apply.

Your information is not used for marketing campaigns or automated follow-up. If Dan ever wanted to send you updates, he would ask you first, separately.

Who handles it

Netlify hosts the website, receives form submissions, screens them for spam (using its spam-filtering providers) and stores them in the site’s form records. If email notifications are enabled for the site, Netlify also emails a copy of each submission to Dan. Netlify’s practices are described in its privacy policy.

Email. Email you send — and any submission notifications — arrive at Dansmallie77@gmail.com, a Google (Gmail) account. Google’s practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Linked websites. The home search opens on MetroList, and some pages link to government sources. Those sites are operated by others under their own privacy policies.

If you decide to work with Dan on a purchase or sale, the information needed for that transaction is shared with those involved — for example the brokerage, escrow, a lender or another party’s agent — under the agreements that apply. Information may also be disclosed if the law requires it.

How long it’s kept

Form submissions remain in the site’s Netlify form records, and any related emails remain in Dan’s inbox, until they are deleted. Dan keeps an inquiry while it is useful for answering and following up on it. If the inquiry leads to a transaction, related records may need to be kept longer under rules that apply to real estate records. You can ask for deletion at any time.

Your choices and California privacy rights

You can ask Dan to tell you what information he has from your submissions or messages, correct it, delete it (unless a record must be kept by law) or stop contacting you. California residents may have additional rights under state law; you won’t be treated differently for exercising them. To make a request, email Dansmallie77@gmail.com or call (916) 956-4345. Dan may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

Children

The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16.

Changes to this notice

If the site’s data practices change — for example, if analytics were ever added — this notice will be updated first, with a new effective date.
